Once in Coordinate Systems you can click on the box under Selections which will move the CS to a specific point. Also if a user select a box under the X/Y/or Z Axis: and selects a line, which that specific axis will become parallel to the line as shown in the picture below.Coordinate System1460437 278 KB

Bobcad V3 Para Solidworks

When working inside of SOLIDWORKS there is no need to export your part files. This eliminates any possible data transition issues when migrating your designs from engineering to the CAM programming team. Every time a CAD file is saved and later imported into a separate CAM product there is a risk of the CAD geometry data being compromised. Not the case with SOLIDWORKS integrated CAM.

In order to give users all the flexibility they need, BobCAM now offers a solution for Flat End V-Tools. In the past there was no parameter to define a flat end on V-Tools. This could cause an issue in certain cases. By allowing users to enter a Flat End Diameter parameter and updating the toolpath to accommodate that parameter, you can be sure your final part comes out perfect every time!

An Advanced button is now available in the Allowance group of the Mill 3 Axis Pro operations which allows users to access the new Allowances dialog. This dialog provides the ability to specify particular surfaces/solids which should use a different allowance value than what has been assigned to the overall feature geometry. In the past, specifying different allowances for different surfaces required several different operations with specific boundaries assigned to each. The Allowances dialog simplifies all of this by providing you the means to simply add a geometry item, assign an allowance type, and then set the allowance amounts to use for each item. The dialog even lets you assign Part and Fixture geometry separately! In the images below, notice the fixture geometry selected. In this case we specify 0.2500 inches of allowance to use to keep the tool well clear of our fixture.

3. Advanced Feedrate MappingBobCAM V7 for SolidWorks provides optimized feedrates for more efficient programs, including the ability to control lead-in and lead-out feedrates separately from the rest of the operation. Also, with the Adaptive feedrate control, users can set minimum an maximum percentages so the feedrate will automatically adjust based on the volume of material being engaged by the cutter.

With FreeMILL you will be able to:1. Create a toolpath where the tool is driven along a set of parallel planes to cut your geometry2. Create both Roughing and Finishing toolpaths3. Run full cutting and material simulation of toolpaths4. Output G code to your CNC milling tool of choice

FreeMILL is not a separate product but is a module that is included in each of these products: VisualCAD/CAM and RhinoCAM. FreeMILL thus runs either standalone (no other CAD system required) or as a plug-in to CAD systems Rhinoceros.

Specifies that the rapid Z plane will be at an incremental Distance above the Clearance Plane for 2 Axis operations. Specifies that the rapid Z plane will be at an incremental Distance above the value of the Skim clearance parameter on the Entry Retract tab for 3 Axis operations.

Feed plane is (group box and associated parameters not available for Rough Mill operations with VoluMill Pattern). This option allows the Z Feed plane to be set relative to the Previous Machined Depth or the Current Machined Depth.

When the Feed plane is set to Current Machined Depth, this parameter defines a distance above the current cut depth that the tool should begin feeding in Z. If the value is 0.00, the tool will rapid to the Z cutting depth.

To define any of the above planes locally for an operation, ensure that the Use Setup definition checkbox option within the Plane is group box is unchecked. Use the parameters within this group box to define the Rapid Plane Z depth.

Your CAD/CAM provider is the best resource to help you with a post because they have the most up-to-date information and the post is created from their software.Sometimes people mistakenly think the machine's control is at fault when they are having trouble with a post. In reality, the control is just reading the software code from the CAM system. While we work well with all of the CAD/CAM providers, we are a completely separate company.

The combination of nice parametric CAD, the very nice HSMWorks CAM, and all at a very affordable price is tough to beat. The low-end market is basically being offered a lot of the power that had been reserved for the High End and Tiered Segments at a very affordable price. 2ff7e9595c
