The library is presented in NI's KONTAKT format: THIS IS NOT A ROMPLER or PLUGIN - with this version you will simply be downloading the Morphology SAMPLE LIBRARY in WAV format which you can use with any music software - you DON'T get the NI "Kompakt Instrument" interface - but everything has been set up in KONTAKT patches which you also get, so if you have NI KONTAKT (the full version of Kontakt) then all the instruments are already programmed, mapped out and playable).

Evolution Steel Strings licenses Native Instruments' Kontakt Player sampler software. Consequently, owning the full version of Kontakt is not necessary, and Evolution Steel Strings operates without limitations within the free Kontakt Player application/plugin. The Dulciano is a grand piano performed with dulcimer hammers. This unique hybrid instrument produces a similar timbre to a dulcimer or cimbalom, but the longer strings and large soundboard of the piano gives the instrument a richer tone and longer sustain. The instrument also has a much wider playable range than a standard dulcimer or cimbalom (A0 to E6).

Arctic Strings is a lush cinematic strings library designed from the ground up for easy to use ambient sustained strings. It features flexible scripted legato and portamento/glissando. The interface is built around the northern lights, as you play the strings, the aurora swells and flows to the sound. The library is quite unlike anything else, it offers an unique inspiration experience and is perfect for atmospheric and ambient strings.
The samples are wide and lush stereo recordings from a medium sized string ensemble recorded in a church. It is not a deep sampled and technical concert hall type library, instead this library excels at strings for ambience and atmosphere. They are incredibly easy to use and fill that gap between detailed realism and smooth rich pads. In fact, they tend to work very well together with real strings recordings. Their smooth and atmospheric nature leaves plenty of room for real string recordings on top to shine.
The amplifier package includes a pre-DSP send/return for dryrecording and wet monitoring, while a low-noise instrument inputensures guitar signal integrity. Balanced stereo XLR DI Out with groundlift is also provided, and 15 rear panel connectors allow routing forany application, plus full MIDI compatibility.
